Cochin - Munnar - Kumarakom - Alleppey - Marari beach - Cochin

Day 1: ARRIVE IN COCHIN

Arrival in Cochin Today. Be transferred to your hotel
Overnight in Cochin.

DAY 2: COCHIN VISIT

Today morning visit Kumbalanghi Model Tourism Village to experience the fishermen village activities like live fish catching, Crab farm, coir making etc. On arrival refresh yourself with a tender coconut drink; later visit the Fishing Village. Later enjoy a home cooked lunch by the side of backwaters.

Afternoon you’ll explore a sightseeing tour of Fort Cochin &Mattancherry. You could visit the local fish market, Chinese Fishing Nets and the St. Francis Church in Fort Cochin. Later proceed to Mattancherry to see the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue (Jewish Synagogue will remain closed on Fridays, Saturdays and other Jewish Holidays). In the evening witness Kathakali dance performance. Accompanied by a gong, drums and cymbals, Kathakali performers combine dance and theatre in a ritualistic portrayal of gods and demons.

DAY 3: COCHIN - MUNNAR

After breakfast a 4 hour drive will take you to the famous tea county of Munnar.
Check into the hotel and explore the surrounding area.

DAY 4: MUNNAR

Today you have a whole day to explore the hill station of Munnar. You could visit the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr, Tea Museum and the Tea Factory. Later take a walk through the mist covered tea plantations to see the workers plucking the tea leaves. Overnight in Munnar.

DAY 5: MUNNAR - KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, a drive to Kumarakom. Check into the hotel and an afternoon visit to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. It is the most visited tourist venue in Kumarakom. This marshy stretch of land is the natural habitat of various species of birds. Migratory birds make this sanctuary their home during the winter season.
Overnight in Kumarakom.

DAY 6: KUMARAKOM - ALLEPPEY

After breakfast drive to Alleppey (05 hrs), also known as the Venice of the East. Afternoon you board your private Houseboat (01 Bedroom air-conditioned Deluxe Houseboat) for an overnight cruise through the Vembanad Lake. Each houseboat has a driver and a cook, who’ll prepare delicious Keralean meals, with some fresh ingredients likely to be purchased during the cruise.

DAY 7: ALLEPPEY - MARARI BEACH

After a leisurely breakfast drive to Marari beach. Check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Marari Beach.

DAY 8: MARARI BEACH

A day to soak up and enjoy the serenity on the deserted sandy beaches.
Overnight in Marari Beach.

DAY 9: MARARI BEACH - COCHIN AIRPORT

Today drive to Cochin airport for a flight to Delhi
Overnight in Delhi.
